Morelli finishes sixth in women’s road time trial

Paracyclist Shawn Morelli earned sixth place in the women’s C4 road cycling time trial Wednesday at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.

Morelli’s time was 22 minutes, 53.35 seconds, making her sixth overall in the event. Only the top top finishers in the race earned medals.

Morelli’s time was 1 minute, 14.11 seconds behind the first-place finisher, her teammate Samantha Bosco, whose time was 21 minutes, 39.24 seconds.

Morelli, a 1994 graduate of Saegertown Area Junior-Senior High School, has one more chance to compete at the Paralympics.

Her last event is Friday in the women’s C-4/C-5 road race. It will air that day at 3:30 a.m. on Peacock and at 5 a.m. on USA Network.
